There are no fees to enter the Arboretum. Some events may require an admission fee. There are no food services on the property.
Park Rules
Please respect our gardens, grounds, trees, and trails.
Keep the Arboretum Clean
- No kite flying or balloons.
- Please no confetti anywhere outside.
- Pick up after your pets. There are pet waste bags available in several locations.
- Leave the flowers for everyone to enjoy.
- Picnics are permitted, but no cooking, please.
- Pick up after yourselves.
- Tables and tents are prohibited.
Keep yourself and the Trees Safe
- Please no climbing on or sitting in trees.
- No ball or frisbee throwing.
- No walking or standing in flower beds.
- Pets are welcome but please keep them on a leash and do clean up after them.
- Bicycles, scooters, rollerblades, skateboards are permitted on the paved areas only.
- Trails are for walking only, no mountain bikes, or strollers.
Groups & Photoshoots
- Groups over 10 people need to schedule their visit.
- Engagement proposals need to be scheduled.
- Photo shoots: All posed photography requires a permit and scheduling.

***Gates close promptly at closing time. If you are on the property after closing you will need to exit through the walking gate on Greenspring Ave. You may return to pick up your vehicle the following day.***

The Buckeye Trail is ADA accessible.
Paved pathways offer access to the buildings. They can be accessed from the parking lots, from the circle in front of the Vollmer Center, and from the mansion.
Accessibility
Buildings
Vollmer Visitor Center: Handicapped accessible, with restrooms on the first floor and elevator access to the lower floor’s meeting/event space and restrooms. A paved patio at the rear of the Vollmer Center is also handicapped accessible.
Cylburn Mansion: There is a wheelchair/handicapped access ramp along the west side, with an entrance to the mansion through the side door.
Greenhouse Classroom: Handicapped accessible entrances and restrooms at ground level.
Parking
Handicapped parking is available in the upper parking lot near the Vollmer Center. There is also handicapped parking at the Greenhouse Classroom for visitors attending events in that building.
