Come experience our expanded drop-in programs this January!  Join, Chesapeake Conservation & Climate Corps member, Layla Salomon in the Nature Education Center to learn about what birds eat in the winter! We'll make pinecone bird feeders and chat about winter bird diets during Maryland's winters.    

It's nearly Groundhog Day! Join us in the Nature Education Center to make your own groundhog craft, learn fun facts about the fluffy meteorologist, and make predictions on whether he will see his shadow this year! All Ages 5+. While supplies last    

Join us in the Nature Education Center to make your own nature inspired (and punny!) valentines! While we design our Valentine's cards, we'll talk about the Cylburn ephemerals we love ❤️ the most! All Ages 5+. While supplies last    

Gather your surplus of seed and join us in the Nature Education Center classroom for a drop-in seed exchange! Please only bring seeds from 2023-2025 and make sure to have them labeled with a Scientific/Common name and year harvested. There will be free seeds available while supplies last. This is an all ages event.

Drop by the Nature Education Center and show off your art skills! Our exhibit is filled with interesting specimens and photos from the grounds! We'd love to see your rendition of your favorite exhibit. Materials will be available in the exhibit hall throughout the day!
