About Our Camp

Cylburn Arboretum Friends’ Summer Nature Camp teaches children knowledge of and respect for the nature that surrounds them. Campers will explore our 200+ acres and learn about the plants, animals, fungi, and habitats they encounter. They will spend their days at camp hiking the trails and partaking in environmental education lessons, activities, art, and group games. Our goals are to nurture a sense of wonder and curiosity about the natural world and to help children learn to be good stewards of their environment. All age groups are led by certified teachers and naturalists. Camper to staff ratio is 6:1 to allow for plenty of individualized attention to each camper’s needs. Each camper will receive a Cylburn Nature Camp t-shirt included in their registration.

2024 Camp Sessions

We are pleased to announce that we are keeping the same rates as last year! Please note that prices do not include fees charged by the Eventbrite website. Please also note that each camper is limited to one session per summer due to high demand.

Mini Camp (Entering PreK-1st grade/Ages 4-6)

• June 10-14 (1-week session) 9am-1pm $300 + optional after care (1-3pm) $100

Elementary Camps (Entering K-5th grade/Ages 5-10)

• June 17-28 (2-week session, NO CAMP on Juneteenth-6/19) 9am-3pm $715 + optional after care (3-5pm) $180
• July 1-5 (1-week session, NO CAMP on July 4) 9am-3pm $320 + optional after care (3-5pm) $80
• July 8-12 (1-week session) 9am-3pm $400 + optional after care (3-5pm) $100

Middle School Camp (Entering 6th-8th grade/ages 11-13)

• June 24-28 (1-week session) $415 (no after care offered) Monday-Thursday: 9am-3pm + Thursday evening session from 7-9 pm. Friday: Camp from 9am-1pm.
