Cylburn Ecology: 101
July 22 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Ever wondered why you rarely see Baltimore Orioles in Baltimore? Have you ever noticed you hear more frogs on rainy nights? Do you want to learn some cool terms to impress your friends?
Come learn the very basics of ecology at Cylburn Arboretum. These sessions will introduce topics like biodiversity, nutrient cycling, and niches, through the lens of Cylburn’s urban forest. These courses are adult oriented and are meant to give attendees an introduction or refresher to basic concepts in the broad realm of ecology.
Each session will meet in the Nature Education Center classroom for a 1 hour lecture followed by an optional 30 minute hike (nature permitting).
Note: Each class will be sold and registered as a stand-alone class but participants are encouraged to register for all three.
Tickets are non-refundable. Course runs rain or shine.
