Wednesday Walk: City Demonstration Gardens

Join CAF Head Gardener Brent Figlestahler to learn about Cylburn’s re-imagined City Demonstration Gardens. These five row-home scaled gardens are thoughtfully designed to reflect Batlimore’s urban landscape and demonstrate how even the smallest spaces can be transformed into vibrant, ecologically benefecial spaces.

· An Accessible Garden – Designed for inclusivity, with features that accommodate varying abilities and budgets.

· A Tribute to the For-Win-Ash Garden Club – Honoring Maryland’s first African American garden club history.

· A Teaching Garden – Featuring raised beds for hands-on learning experiences.

· A Garden of the Senses – Engaging visitors with fragrant, tactile, and visually stimulating plants.

· An All-Native Plant Garden – Showcasing pollinator-friendly species and plants that support local ecosystems.
