Celebrating Cylburn Arboretum Friend’s 70th Anniversary

Cylburn Arboretum Friends is celebrating 70 years on our historical grounds! In 1954, the Cylburn Park Project came to life by way of Josephine Hunley from the Federal Garden clubs of Maryland and Elizabeth Clark from Baltimore City Recreation and Parks. These women led Cylburn to become a Wildflower Preserve and Garden Center. And with meticulous care the park evolved to the Cylburn Arboretum that we know today. We have been lucky enough to have loyal members, employees, and volunteers who have diligently maintained and fostered the diverse environment of Cylburn over the years. With a vision to inspire a love of the natural world, Cylburn Arboretum friends has continued to uphold the values of its founders. Cylburn welcomes learners and nature lovers of all ages to experience our grounds and partake in our educational programming.
