Market Day traditionally attracts more than 3,000 visitors to the Arboretum over Mother’s Day weekend, all eager to shop for plants and crafts from a diverse range of vendors. Regional vendors will offer an impressive selection of plants, along with gifts such as pottery, jewelry, art, and more. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from participating food trucks on both days, and wagon rentals will be offered for added shopping convenience. Families can also enjoy a variety of children’s activities, making it a fun event for all ages.
Join us on Friday evening, May 8, from 5 PM to 8 PM for Party on the Porch, a paid “preview” event and fundraiser for adults. Guests will enjoy complimentary wine and beer, live music, and a festive atmosphere. Proceeds from this event support Cylburn Arboretum Friends. (Please note: The Arboretum will be CLOSED to the public on May 8 for event setup.)
Saturday, May 9, kicks off our free, family-friendly public event from 8 AM to 2 PM. Explore a wide range of plant and gift vendors, nonprofit booths, and family activity stations. Whether you’re a plant enthusiast looking to expand your garden or simply enjoy browsing artisan crafts, there’s something for everyone. The festival features nursery booths bursting with flowers, expert horticultural advice, a kids’ corner with activities, face painting, a stilt walker, and plenty of delicious food options. Market Day opens at 8 AM sharp.
