Frog Watch Citizen Science Training
*Must have attended first session in December*
February 3, 2024 @ 12:30 pm
FrogWatch is a citizen science program that tracks frog populations throughout the United States. Participants will be trained to listen to frogs that are calling throughout the warmer months at Cylburn or other host sites. The dates of this two-part training series are:
- Saturday, February 3 from10-12:30
Since the training is a two-part class, participants must attend both sessions to be fully trained as a FrogWatch monitor. Volunteer monitoring will take place in the evening hours in the warmer months. Training is held in the Nature Education Center Classroom and will be led by Jessica Nelson, who works with Frog Watch in addition to her work as Assistant Curator of Australia and Rain Forest at the National Aquarium.
