DESCRIPTION:Join Cylburn Arboretum Friends for learning and outdoor fun this summer! All activities are held on-site at Baltimore’s Cylburn Arboretum.\n\n\nAbout Our Camp\nCylburn Arboretum Friends’ Summer Nature Camp teaches children knowledge of and respect for the nature that surrounds them. Campers will explore our 200+ acres and learn about the plants\, animals\, fungi\, and habitats they encounter. They will spend their days at camp hiking the trails and partaking in environmental education lessons\, activities\, art\, and group games. Our goals are to nurture a sense of wonder and curiosity about the natural world and to help children learn to be good stewards of their environment. All age groups are led by certified teachers and naturalists. Camper to staff ratio is 6:1 to allow for plenty of individualized attention to each camper’s needs. Each camper will receive a Cylburn Nature Camp t-shirt included in their registration. \n \n2026 Camp Sessions\nRates INCLUDE ALL FEES! \nDue to high demand\, each camper is limited to TWO WEEKS of camp this summer. \n \nMini Camps (Entering PreK-1st grade/Ages 4-6) \n\nJune 1-5 (1-week session) 9am-1pm $325 + optional after care (1-3pm) $100\nJune 8-12 (1 week session) 9am-1pm $325 + optional after care (1-3pm) $100\n\n \nElementary Camps (Entering K-5th grade/Ages 5-10) \n\nJune 15-26 (2-week session\, NO CAMP on Juneteenth-6/19) 9am-3pm $775 + optional after care (3-5pm) $180\nJune 29-July 2 (1-week session) 9am-3pm $435 + optional after care (3-5pm) $100\nJuly 6-10 (1-week session) 9am-3pm $435 + optional after care (3-5pm) $100\n\n \nMiddle School Camp (Entering 6th-8th grade/Ages 11-13) \n\nJuly 13-17(1-week session) $435 (no after care offered) Monday-Thursday: 9am-3pm + Thursday evening session from 7-9 pm. Drop by the Nature Education Center to learn why window strikes happen and create a colorful hanging decoration from recycled materials that can help make windows more visible to birds. \nJuly 11: Build Your Own Binoculars\nBirdwatchers use binoculars to get a closer look at birds and other wildlife. Drop by the Nature Education Center to build your own binoculars from recycled materials and learn about some of the birds that can be spotted around Cylburn. \nJuly 18: Recycled Bird Feeder \nBird feeders can help attract birds for observation.
