DESCRIPTION:Come experience our expanded drop-in programs this January!  \nJoin Master Naturalist\, Pat Jonas\, in the Nature Education Center\, to learn what animals eat in winter. Get ready for fun with seeds\, nuts\, and berries! \nWhat foods do animals rely on during the winter season to stay warm\, move around\, and survive? While some animals migrate or hibernate in the winter\, others remain active in nature and eat a variety of foods. Some may have collected and stored food in preparation for the winter months\, while others spend the winter looking for available food. We’ll look at the kinds of food that animals rely on during the winter and how they play an important role in helping plants and trees. We’ll also learn why it is important to consider how we manage our lawns and gardens to help wildlife and their habitats for the benefit of future generations.
